I love to paint mountains and evergreens. I sometimes imagine places that may exist in different part of the world and capture these places on canvas. Such is the case with this little painting entitled, TO THE MOUNTAIN. The mountain I imagine in the background is glorious and warmed by the morning sin. A little path to the left of the scene, which i imagined leading off “to the mountain”, is casually enveloped by beautiful pines and shrubs in the surrounding area and by rich aqua blue waters. As with may of my paintings, I created this oil painting using a very limited palette consisting of only the 3 primary colors. This is an original oil painting (not a print), which was painted on a an 8 x 10 inch stretched canvas using professional GRUMBACHER oils.
