Pyramid Mountain

Pyramid MountainThis painting is titled, “Pyramid Mountain – Lac Beauvert” located in Jasper National Park, in Alberta; Canada. The mountain was named for its pyramid-like shape by James Hectorin 1859 because of its appearance viewed from the Athabasca River valley on the eastern side of the peak. Lac Beauvert is French, for “beautiful green” and it lives up to that name because tourists and locals alike are often privileged to view spectacular emerald green colors at this grand Canadian Lake.
