Cliffs at Fort AmherstThe earthen red walls, the intended subject of this painting, as well as the lush grassy fields captures the essence of the cliffs at Fort Amherst just outside of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. This little piece of Canada was built in 1758 by the British. Its main purpose was to collect intelligence of French troops and ship movement as well as to declare a British presence in the area. This painting is an original oil painting painted on a 7 x 9 inch canvas panel using professional GRUMBACHER oils.
